Mr. Bob Curtis

On Friday, September 30th, cast and crew members of the upcoming fall production, Bilxoi Blues, were treated to stories about World War II from veteran Bob Curtis. He entertained the audience by telling stories from his experiences in the Navy during the war: from the food they ate, to sleeping arrangements in hammocks.

Afterwards, members from the Hillsboro United States Army Recruiting Station, Staff Sgt. Weekes and Sgt. Watros, went through a brief training session with the cast and crew. The recruiters taught the “trainees” how to salute properly, various commands, and how to do proper push-ups.

SSCCTheatre thanks Mr. Curtis, Staff Sgt. Weekes, Sgt. Watros. and Sgt. Stump for their assistance that evening.

Biloxi Blues plays November 11 & 12 at 7:30pm and November 13 at 3:30pm in The Edward K. Daniels Auditorium at the Central Campus of Southern State Community College. Biloxi Blues is directed by Rainee Angles. Tickets are available now ($6 presale) by clicking here.
