SSCC Theatre is pleased to announce their upcoming auditions for the fall production of Henrik Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House,” adapted by Christopher Hampton.

This epochal drama of marriage and the individual portrays a controlling husband Torvald Helmer and his wife Nora, a submissive young woman who, when their idealized home life collapses, comes to the realization that she must finally close the door on her husband, children, and life in “a doll’s house” in order to find and live as her true self.

Auditions, open to community members and students, will be held on Friday, September 7 at 6:30pm in The Edward K. Daniels Auditorium at the Central Campus of Southern State Community College, in Hillsboro, OH. Those interested in auditioning should prepare and memorize a two-minute dramatic monologue.

“A Doll’s House” is directed by Rainee Angles and will be performed November 2 – 4, 2012. For more information about “A Doll’s House,” available roles, and a rehearsal schedule, please click here.
