SSCC Theatre’s Twelfth Season offers audiences the opportunity to meet a wide selection of characters during the course of the year. Season tickets for SSCC Theatre’s Twelfth Season are on sale now via the theatre’s website. Tickets for the set of three shows start at $21. The schedule for the season is:

Becky’s New Car, by Steven Dietz. Have you ever been tempted to flee your own life? Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management and in a middling marriage—with no prospects for change on the horizon. Then one night a socially inept and grief-struck millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life…and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn’t dare. Becky’s New Car is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones, a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken. Becky’s New Car opens the season November 6 – 8.

The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, adapted for the stage Simon Levy. Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and danger. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age come to the stage in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, and in Simon Levy’s adaptation, approved by the Fitzgerald Estate. The Great Gatsby runs April 1 – 3, 2016.

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, by Christopher Durang. Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County, PA, where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Also on the scene are sassy maid Cassandra, who can predict the future, and a lovely young aspiring actress named Nina, whose prettiness somewhat worries the imperious Masha. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike closes the season July 22 – 24, 2016.
