Beginning Friday, August 1, season tickets for SSCC Theatre’s Eleventh Season will be on sale via the theatre’s website. Tickets for the set of three shows are $20, a savings of up to $16.

SSCC Theatre is also excited to announce a new ticketing system, Vendini, which helps us better serve our patrons, and give them a better ticketing experience.

The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde. Oscar Wilde’s classic is a delight from the first cucumber sandwich on as Jack’s double life catches up with him. The problems are resolved in an extremely charming and quite unexpected way as Jack and Algernon discover the importance of being earnest while answering to the name of Ernest. The Importance of Being Earnest opens the season November 7 – 9.

August: Osage County, by Tracy Letts. A vanished father. A pill-popping mother. Three sisters harboring shady little secrets. When the large Weston family unexpectedly reunites after Dad disappears, their Oklahoman family homestead explodes in a maelstrom of repressed truths and unsettling secrets. Mix in Violet, the drugged-up, scathingly acidic matriarch, and you’ve got a major new play that unflinchingly—and uproariously—exposes the dark side of the Midwestern American family. August: Osage County runs March 27 – 29, 2015.

The 25^th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, music and lyrics by William Finn, book by Rachel Sheinkin. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home life, the tweens spell their way through a series of [potentially made-up] words hoping to never hear the soul crushing, pout inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box. The 25^th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee closes the season July 24 – 26, 2015.
