Southern State Community College’s speech and theatre instructor, Mrs. Rainee Angles, along with Hillsboro High School’s David White (music director) and Jen Bogenschutz (theatre director), are pleased to announce audition dates for the spring musical of Fiddler on the Roof, scheduled to perform in March 2007.
Produced by special arrangement with Music Theatre International, Fiddler on the Roof was created by Joseph Stein (book), Jerry Brock (music) and Sheldon Harnick (lyrics).
Auditions for Fiddler on the Roof will be held Fri., Jan. 12 from 3 – 6 p.m. at Hillsboro High School and Sat., Jan. 13 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on the College’s central campus in Hillsboro. Auditions are open to the public as well as SSCC students. College credit may also be received by those acting or working behind the scenes.
Rehearsals for this production will be held during the week, beginning Jan. 15, from 6:30-10 p.m. in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium at SSCC and at Hillsboro High School.
Production dates are scheduled for Fri., Mar. 9 and Sat., Mar. 10 beginning at 7:30 p.m. A special matinee performance will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sun., Mar. 11. All shows will take place at SSCC.
