SSCC Theatre and the 2008 Winter Drama Practicum Class are proud to present Wrong Place, Wrong Time, an evening of four one act plays that, through humor, explore what can happen when a bad day only gets worse. The Actor’s Nightmare by Christopher Durang tells the story of George, a man who has casually wandered on stage and is informed that one of the actors, Eddie, has been in an auto accident and he must replace him immediately. Apparently, no one is sure of what play is being performed, and poor George is forced to rise to the occasion. In another tale, Vas Difference by John Pielmeier, Mr. McGuffin is scheduled to have a vasectomy … sadly his doctor and nurse seem to be distracted by their own, more important issues. Goober’s Descent, also by John Pielmeier, revolves around a man, He, who has come in for an interview, and a woman, She, who is there to interview him. But the whole time, something doesn’t exactly seem right. Carwash by Louis Phillips closes out the evening and accepts the idea that sometimes personal items just get misplaced. Ken Pfeiffer, the customer, is under the impression that the carwash he is using has misplaced his car.
The cast of these four hilarious plays is comprised of: Hannah Braden, Katie Cavendish, Jamie McCoy, Jacob Morgan, Lou Pfaehler, Jason Sharrett, Justin Stich, Ayla Stirnaman and A.J. Yourkvitch. Fulfilling crew positions include: Amanda Castro, Josh Criss, Bryan Damron and Shawn Weyer.
Wrong Place, Wrong Time, presented by SSCC Theatre and directed by Rainee Angles, with Alexandria Horsley as assistant director, plays Wednesday, March 19 at 7:30pm in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium at Southern State Community College. Admission to this event is free. For more information please click here.
