In 1926, when radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. Her chief adversary is her former employer, Arthur Roeder, an idealistic man who cannot bring himself to believe that the same element that shrinks tumors could have anything to do with the terrifying rash of illnesses among his employees. As the case goes on, however, Grace finds herself battling not just with the U.S. Radium Corporation, but with her own family and friends, who fear that her campaign for justice will backfire.

A note to all Cast & Crew:
- Rehearsal begins Monday, September 9th, 6:30pm. All cast and crew should attend the first rehearsal. In the meantime, the cast/crew can pick up scripts from the Stage Manager, Brendan Bell, on Tuesday (09-03-24) 10am-2pm or Wednesday (09-04-24) 5pm-9pm. Brendan will be in 400 hallway outside the theatre on Central Campus. Start memorizing ASAP!
- We’re still looking to cast two more men. Interested actors should reach out to Rainee Angles, ASAP.
- Also, students interested in earning 3 credits for the production will need to register for THEA 1101: Acting Studio or THEA 1104: Technical Studio immediately. Contact your advisor Tuesday (09-04-24) to do so. Campus is closed on Monday for Labor Day.
