SSCC Theatre proudly presents the family friendly classic musical Annie, opening tonight at 7:30pm. The show continues this weekend on Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 3:30pm.
Annie (played by Emma Horick) is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan (Leslie Holmes). In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (B.G. Prater) and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks (Bryan Kessinger), his personal secretary Grace Farrell (Jenna Horick) and a lovable mutt named Sandy. With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts.

Annie is directed by Rainee Angles, with musical direction by David White, and choreography by Sarah Cordingley. The production is stage managed by Micaela Countryman, and assistant stage managed by Roger Johnson, with production design by Rainee Angles and Abraham Martin and costume design by Laura Martin. Fulfilling other crew positions are: Brent Angles, Paul Davis, Brooke Emling, Erika Freeland, Ron Gilbert, Meredith Keister, Tina Kessinger, Jenna Milstead, Seth Potts, Becky Storer, Briton Sword, Heather Washburn, and Robin West.
American Sign Language interpretation will be made available at the Saturday, August 4, performance.
Tickets for Annie can still be purchased, up to an hour before the show, for only $6, by clicking here. At the door, tickets are $8 for general admission and $6 for children under 12, students, and faculty, with ID. All major credit cards are accepted online and at the door.
